X chromosome
In mammals, the sex chromosome that is found in two copies in the homogametic sex (female in humans) and one copy in the hererogametic sex (male in humans).
XX line
The XX line in database entries contains no data or comments. It is used instead of blank lines to avoid confusion with the sequence data lines.
